RPSUD workshops have gained recognition and attention of scientists working on dryland biodiversity in the entire region. The demand for participation has reached all time high, with many applications being received. (iv) 7th Regional RPSUD workshop Was held at Ayu International Hotel , Nazareth, Ethiopia from 14th to 18th July, 2008. The workshop addressed major issues concerning the dryland biodiversity research, challenges and opportunities for SNRM and aimed to enhance awareness about the state of dryland biodiversity in eastern Africa. The Key note speaker provided an ice-breaker by addressing “The changing Climate: Management of Dryland Ecosystems for Sustainable Utilization; lessons from global and African experiences. |
